~~~ Meet Our Pastor ~~~
Pastor Craft grew up on a farm in southeast Iowa and at the age of nine trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour at the Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield, Ia.
He surrendered to the ministry in November 1968 at the age of 19. In May of 1971 he married his childhood sweetheart and pastor's daughter, Karen Van Dyne Craft. Since graduating from Bible College in 1972 he pastored churches in the United States and military churches overseas in Spain and Germany. He has also served as Professor of Missions and Bible at West Coast Baptist College, Lancaster, CA., while on furlough. He currently serves as the Military Field Editor for BIMI World Magazine. The Craft's have one daughter, Amy, married to Lt. Col. Dennis Uyechi, USAF, and one granddaughter, Faith.
Together, Pastor and Mrs. Craft have served our US military, civilians and their families since 1984. In May 2006, they came to the Kaiserslautern Military Community to start the Heritage Baptist Church. The Craft's have a special place in their hearts for military families and a love for the German people. It is with great joy and anticipation that they continue their ministry in their newest work, Heritage Baptist Church in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. Heritage Baptist Church is a military church with an International congregation and a close knit family atmosphere. Their heart's desire is that from the moment you step on the church property you will feel like you just came “home”.
